The Station Theatre announces Next to Normal

From the press release:

The Station Theatre announces its final production of the regular season: Next to Normal, a rock musical with book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and music by Tom Kitt. The show is directed by Celebration Company Artistic Director Rick Orr and is under the musical direction of Alex Zelck Smith.

Next to Normal opened on Broadway in April 2009. It was nominated for eleven 2009 Tony Awards. It also won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, becoming only the eighth musical in history to receive the honor. In awarding the prize, the Pulitzer Board called this groundbreaking show “a powerful rock musical that … expands the scope of subject matter for musicals.”

Next to Normal will be performed from Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, May 11. All shows start at 8:00 p.m. Admission is $10 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays and $15 on Fridays and Saturdays. To make a reservation, please call 384-4000, or you may reserve online.
