There is one more walk-in booster clinic on Friday

It’s looking like getting a booster shot will offer your best protection against the Omicron variant.

The News-Gazette reported that about one-third of fully vaccinated adults in Champaign County has received a booster shot. Some of the more than 70,000 that have not yet received one may not be six month past their last Pfizer or Moderna dose, or two months past their Johnson and Johnson shot. For those who are, C-U Public Health District will be offering one more walk-in clinic at the Illinois Conference Center on December 10th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you are unable to make the clinic on Friday, there are still opportunities to get boosted and/or get your 5-11 year old vaccinated at the Carle vaccination site in Kohl’s Plaza, at Promise Healthcare, or through a local pharmacy.

If you are an adult that has not been vaccinated, or if you have a child 12 years and older who is unvaccinated, you can also do that at the locations listed above. Here is the Carle hospitalization data from December 6th.
