This seems like a not-to-be-missed event in C-U. In honor of the 75th anniversary of the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Illinois, Firefly Drone Shows will be putting on a 100 drone light show on September 20th around 9 p.m. (it’s like fireworks, it’ll happen once it’s dark enough). There will be audio broadcast on 107.1 FM WPGU.
According to the Facebook event, “special permission has been granted for the public to park in designated lots south of the iHotel to view the drone show – specifically, the Caterpillar, Yahoo, and TekMill parking lots.”
I would imagine getting there early to claim a spot would be a good move.
