There’s a new sculpture at Meadowbrook Park

Visitors at Meadowbrook Park in Urbana may notice a new sculpture in the Wandell Sculpture Garden. Artist Micki LeMieux has loaned her artwork, titled Idea of an Apple, to the Urbana Park District after being displayed in Chicago at various exhibits. The sculpture, made from steel, foam, and epoxy, was inspired by the rich symbolism associated with the apple, from religious narratives to American apple pie.
