There’s a parking lot art pop up happening on Saturday

We’ve all driven by the somewhat raggedy B-22 lot at the corner of Goodwin and University in Urbana. It sits in a space just on the edge of the university and long stretch of gas stations, fast food restaurants, and hospital buildings. On Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. it will be the site of an art exhibition, which is pretty cool.

NOLAS is a play on the French “salon”, and seeks break down conventions and create something that is the opposite of a traditional art exhibition. Organizers Aimee Schneider and Samit Sinha plan to fill the lot with visual and participatory art, music, food, and discussion.
