Smile Politely

Three vendors are out, and two new restaurants moved in to Broadway Food Hall

You won’t find a reuben at Broadway Food Hall anymore. La Royale, King Kuma, and Muchacho have vacated the food hall in Urbana, and two new restaurants have opened in their place: Poke Shack and Mi Casita Restaurante.

You may know Poke Shack from their other locations at The Fields and in Mahomet. Now you can order the big island poke bowl in Urbana, too. The store has online ordering for pick-up at Broadway Food Hall.

Taking over two spots, Mi Casita Restaurante is a Mexican-American quick service restaurant chain with a location in Lawrenceville, Illinois and several in North Carolina. Mi Casita has two menus. On the Mexican menu, find burritos, tacos, bowls, and quesadillas. The American menu offers a slimmed down La Royale menu with Phil’s Cheesesteak, a double cheeseburger, BLT club sandwich, American cheese on white bread grilled cheese, and fries.

The other two Broadway Food Hall vendors A Taste of Both Worlds, a Filipino-Cambodian restaurant, and Les Gourmets, a Conogolese restaurant, are both still operating and serving great food. The food hall also expanded hours; BFH is now open on Mondays, and hours are extended until 8 p.m. for all days of operation.
