With the firing of John Groce, and the hiring of new coach Brad Underwood — things are shifting quite a bit in Illini Basketball world. After assuring that he would stay committed to Illinois a few days ago, a massive recruit for the team has asked to be released from his letter of intent.
While this doesn’t come as a total shock, considering the coaching change, it is an absolute punch to the gut looking towards the next few seasons for the team.
