Tour or fly in a B-17 this June at Willard Airport

The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is bringing a restored B-17 Flying Fortress, Aluminum Overcast on tour throughout the midwest this summer, and will stop at Willard Airport June 7-9. On each of those days, between 10 a.m and 1 p.m., you can sign up for a flight experience aboard the aircraft. It’s pricey — $449 in advance and $475 on site for the public, but I’m sure a pretty cool experience if you have the means or want to get a special gift for someone.

If you want to check out the aircraft on the ground, there will be tours from 2-5 p.m. Those are just $10 per individual, $20 per family (adults and kids under 17), and kids under 8 with a paying adult as well as veterans/active military are free.

You can book your flight here. No reservations needed for ground tours.
