Andrew Prichard, one of our longtime contributors here at SP, posted this update about the space formerly occupied by Sitara in Downtown Urbana as it appears to have transitioned into a Mexican restaurant.
Tres Nopales, located at 114 S. Race Street in Downtown Urbana, will be opening soon, per the signage in their window. Although there’s not a lot of information out there about the restaurant, they do have a Facebook page which went public at the end of November, and a few posts after that in December have indicated it opens soon.
Sitara’s situation has been up and down since the restaurant caught fire in 2017. It reopened for a bit of time in 2019, however.
