In case you haven’t heard, there’s this little thing called the general election happening on November 8. If you want to participate, you have until the end of the day this Tuesday (October 11) to register to vote. You can do that here.
In case the presidential race or your sense of civic duty haven’t motivated you to vote, remember that here in Champaign County we’re also voting for
- U.S. Senator (Tammy Duckworth, Mark Kirk, Kenton McMillen, or Scott Summers)
- U.S. Congressman (Mark Wicklund or Rodney Davis)
- State Senator (Scott Bennett or Michael P. Madigan)
- A sales tax raise
- A Champaign Unit 4 School District referendum
- An advisory vote on marijuana legalization
- And more
