Twin City Theatre Co. has fall auditions coming up

First up for the fall season is The Fall of the House of Usher:

“The Fall of the House of Usher is Poe’s classic tale of the end of a long and aristocratic bloodline, as its last two surviving members succumb to madness borne of generations of isolation and obsession. Poe’s short story gets a stylized and effective makeover in this Steven Berkoff adaptation–traditional theatre blending with a touch of mime, a bit of Grand Guignol, a hint of Addams Family, and a little performance art.”

Auditions are August 30th from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Urbana Free Library.

Then it will be Death Trap:

“A hugely popular stage and screen success, this ingeniously constructed play offers a rare and skillful blending of two priceless theatrical ingredients – gasp-inducing thrills and spontaneous laughter. Unknown dramatist Clifford Anderson has sent his new thriller to award-winning Broadway author Sidney for comment – or has he? Without a success to his credit for some years, Sidney plots with his reluctant wife Myra about how best to plagiarize Deathtrap, and when Clifford turns up to discuss the play with them, events take a sinister turn.”

Auditions are September 10th from 6 to 9 p.m. at the SoDo Theatre.
