News from the University of Illinois athletic department, as it was announced that AD Mike Thomas has been given an extension and a raise. The extension takes the agreement to August 28th, 2019.

Trustees voted Thursday to increase Thomas’ annual pay to $554,320 and extend his deal three years through August 2019. Thomas was being paid $503,928 after he was hired in 2011 at $475,000 a year.
