U of I Community Credit Union will shred your sensitive info on April 29th for free

Do you have sensitive info that you need to get rid of, but don’t own a paper shredder? How unfortunate. Luckily, the U of I Community Credit Union will happily take up to five boxes of documents off of your hands, and shred them for free as part of their annual Shred-a-palooza event.

The event will take place April 29th, from 10 am to 2 pm at UICCU’s First Street branch, and will also feature food. For more information, here’s what UICCU had to say:

Champaign, IL – Join the U of I Community Credit Union for the grand finale of Money Smart Week with Shred-A-Palooza, a free event with shred trucks, food, and fun! The event will take place on Saturday, April 29th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at their First Street branch located at 2201 S. First Street in Champaign.

“We are excited to give the community the opportunity to help protect themselves from identity theft while enjoying a fun day out with the family,” said Lisa Paul, Director of Marketing.

The U of I Community Credit Union will shred up to five boxes of sensitive papers and documents per person for free. There will also be music, local food trucks, free inflatables, and community partners.
