The deadline for Unit 4 parents to register their incoming kindergartners is March 31st, and the district is offering a couple of additional opportunities in the community for that to happen.
Parents can register their child at the School of Choice office at 703 S. New Street Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through the 31st, but they can also take advantage of one of these mobile options:
- Tuesday, March 3rd from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Douglass Branch of the Champaign Public Library
- Tuesday, March 24th from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at Salt and Light at 1512 W Anthony Drive
Parents should bring two items from the following list:
Current Driver’s License or State ID
Lease or Mortgage Statement
Voter’s Registration Card
Power, Water, Internet or Cable Bill (Current Month)
They are also encouraged to present the certified birth certificate for the enrolling student(s). The original document will be returned on site after a photocopy is made for registration records.
