Today is the last day to register for the Basics of Beekeeping and Honey Extraction workshop offered by The Land Connection, which will take place this Saturday, August 23.

Arvin Pierce, an expert in treatment-free beekeeping, will present a detailed slideshow on what it takes to start keeping bees using his own photography and extensive experience. He will also demonstrate honey extraction and open one of his hives to show off the nitty-gritty details of his craft. Attendees will leave with knowledge of the basics of beekeeping and be ready to pursue the craft on their own property.
A Seed Saving Workshop will be offered on September 27th at Prairie Fruits Farm and Creamery.
