The Urbana Aquatic Center has not been open for public swimming hours since the beginning of the pandemic, but that will change next week. Beginning September 8th, the pools will be open for lap swim, swimming lessons, water aerobics classes, and public open swim. Here are the hours:
Lap swim; Monday – Friday, 6 to 8 a.m., and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Public swim; Monday – Friday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Public Swim; Saturday, 12 to 5 p.m.
Public Swim; Sunday, 2 to 7 p.m.
Locker rooms, showers, and changing rooms are open, and mask will be required when not in the pool. It’s $6 to swim ($4 on Thursday) and kids under three are free. It’s $3 to enter the facility if you are not swimming. Hours may be subject to change due to events at the facility. Check Facebook or Twitter for updates.
