“We Got Next” Salon Series highlights the work of Black professors in Fine and Applied Arts

The series will be in five parts, and is hosted by Endalyn Taylor, professor in the Department of Dance. According to the press release, she will “engage with faculty members and special guests to share their research and a live discussion of the work’s creation, impact, and relationship to the perpetual pandemic of racism, and the systematic issues brought to the forefront by George Floyd’s murder and other recent events.”

It launches this Thursday, July 23rd, as a Zoom webinar, and will continue on Thursday evenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m. “Each session will include an introduction of the guests followed by a viewing of the featured work and a live discussion streamed from Krannert Art Museum or Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. Featured faculty include Professors Lisa Dixon, Rebecca Ginsburg, Patrick Hammie, Joyce McCall, Kemal Nance, Stacey Robinson, and Rochelle Sennet with special appearances by guest artist James Lee and guest alumnus Tim Davis.”
