What should you do if you are in quarantine and you haven’t voted yet?

It’s a weird universe to live in where that is a title of a Splog, but here we are. Cases are rising in the area, and even if you are taking precautions, it’s possible to be exposed to COVID.

If you aren’t currently in quarantine, and you haven’t turned in your ballot or voted in person yet, JUST GO DO IT ALREADY.

However, if you are quarantined or isolating now, and you haven’t voted yet, or you find yourself in that situation in the next few days, here is what you need to do, as shared by Champaign-Urbana Public Health District:

  • In general, persons in isolation and quarantine should not vote in person. (Editor’s note: Please don’t vote in person).
  • If you have your mail-in ballot, send it in now. It needs to be postmarked by November 3rd in order to be counted.
  • If you have not requested a mail-in ballot, it is too late to do so. Contact the Champaign County Clerk’s office for an alternative voting option. You can contact them at (217) 384-3724.
