“What Were You Wearing” art installation opens at the Illini Union tomorrow

The Illini Union Board and the Women’s Resource Center have partnered on this exhibit, which according to the event page “challenges the pervasive rape myth that sexual assault is the result of wearing ‘revealing’ clothes, rather than a choice made by the person who assaults another.” It will feature stories from U of I students and alums.

The opening reception is Thursday, September 6th from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Illini Union Art Gallery, on the first floor. Refreshements will be served. The installation will be up through September 27th.
