On Friday I decided to take advantage of the clear crisp morning to slip over to Japan House for the obligatory viewing of the sakura (if you haven’t made it there yet, do it now), and grabbed a new spring drink from Espresso Royale. I don’t typically go for a white mocha, but I felt I couldn’t pass up a cherry blossom drink whilst on my way to see the cherry blossoms.
I went with the iced version, with almond milk, and it was delicious. Usually white chocolate is too sweet for me — I like the slight bitterness of dark chocolate — but even with the white chocolate and hint of cherry flavoring, this was not too sweet. I was still able to taste the espresso, not just the syrup.
