The Heumann family, formerly of C-U, was featured in the PBS documentary Growing Up Trans back in 2015 (Chambanamoms wrote about it here). Now, their son Daniel is part of The GenderCool Project, a national campaign to showcase the stories of transgender youth. He appeared on the Today Show this morning with a panel of other transgender teens as well as the founder of the project.
