For those of you who miss playing golf off Neil St. — not off Dunlap in Savoy — take a look at this buried treasure I found on Champaign-Urbana History on Facebook.
Situated where Biaggi’s and Women’s Health Practice and Le Peep is now located, this old Par 3 course was a classic part of old Champaign, back before Tiger Woods was even a glint in the Master’s eyes.
The course, an 27-hole course of short holes which were all “Par 3”, was operated by Midwest Television Company, which owned WCIA-3 amongst many other media outlets.
