The Art Theater will be showing the award-winning documentary Bag It on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at 7 PM. The event is co-sponsored by Prairie Rivers Network*, Champaign Surplus and The Common Ground Food Co-op. Tickets can be purchased at any of the co-sponsors’ locations or at the Art Theater from 5:30 – 7pm before the show. All proceeds benefit Prairie Rivers Network.

The film started as a documentary about plastic bags and evolved into a wholesale investigation into plastics and their effect on our waterways, oceans, and even our bodies. A panel discussion and special give-aways will follow the movie.
