Champaign, Ill. — After a thorough review of the proposal submitted by the Steering Committee of the North Champaign Academy, the Champaign Unit 4 School District Board of Education is scheduled to vote to deny the proposal on May 2, 2018 because it does not meet the statutory requirements for a charter school. The Board resolution on this matter will include a detailed rationale for the denial.
