Many local organizations see their volunteers dwindle as the students depart for the summer, so it’s a great time for community members to step up and help out. Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore is looking for some volunteer help with processing donations, stocking the store, assisting customers, etc. By lending a hand there you will be helping keep junk out of landfills, supporting Habitat’s mission of creating affordable housing opportunities for local families, and maintaining a place for the community to get reasonably priced stuff for their abodes. Bonus: you might get first dibs on a treasure for your abode.
