In this edition of Smile Politely Radio, we focus on The I.D.E.A. Store, which is celebrating its 1st Anniversary throughout the month of October. We are joined by Gail Rost, Store Manager and Shauna Carey, Education Coordinator. This unique enterprise focuses on minimizing waste by reusing materials for art, crafts and everyday use. Plus, they put on regular workshops to help people figure how best to use all the stuff they sell.
The store is run by the Champaign Urbana Schools Foundation and helps to fund the foundation’s various projects.
