WHEN: Saturday, June 11, 6:00 p.m.

On the second Saturday of each month, GLAD has its social meeting and potluck dinner. The socials average between 25 and 30 people of all ages — both men and women.

This month’s social GLAD will celebrate Civil Unions and Gay Pride Month by hosting a Gay Pride Picnic in the Main Pavilion of Decatur’s Nelson Park. The social will begin at 6 p.m.

The program will focus on civil unions. Our guest speaker will be State Representative Greg Harris, co-sponsor of last year’s Civil Union Bill.

We will be having the usual potluck, but there will also be grills available at the pavilion; Marlon urges folks to bring hot dogs, hamburgers, etc. to grill out. Please bring the usual dish to share.

GLAD will supply the tableware and drinks. We ask that you to please donate $5.00 toward our expenses. Come help us celebrate gay pride and civil unions!
