WHAT: Mac DeMarco

WHEN: Wednesday, October 29th at 8 p.m.

Canadian indie rock artist Mac DeMarco is heading through C-U on his tour, which follows his solid 2014 release Salad Days. DeMarco became much more visible after his previous release, 2, hit the record store shelves a couple years ago. He’s performing solo for this show, and it is the follow up to last week’s Sky Ferreira show.

A Halloween at Mike ‘N Molly’s is typically a solid selection — and this year, they’ll be hosting a party again for this holiday. Locals That’s No Moon released Hyperion, a release that followed up their self-titled debut, synthrock outfit Blackstone Rngers, and new local electro project Jorts. Music, people, and a costume contest — Mike ‘N Molly’s has it.

A trio of acts here at Mike ‘N Molly’s on Saturday night after the Halloween festivities on Friday. Tigerbeat is the project of John Isberg, formerly of Evil Tents and a variety of other local projects. Igloo hails from St. Louis, and Tim Trailer of the Lonely Trailer rounds it out.

A trio of locals on this bill on Saturday — rock/funk outfit Sun Stereo, local indie rockers Elsinore, and Tara Terra. Tara Terra recently released their record Daughter, which is worth checking out.

WHEN: Sunday, November 2nd at 7 p.m.

Fred Eaglesmith returns to C-U, this time at the Iron Post in Urbana. No word on whether or not he’ll be with a full band or just by himself, but if I get more details, I will update the article.
