In January, Abbie Frank and her husband Tim Voelker announced a major change for their wedding and event venue, Bluestem Hall. This will be the last wedding season, and the space will then become a nature school for Pre-K students.
On Thursday, June 24th from 8 to 9:30 p.m., they are hosting a guided firefly show as a fundraiser for the new school. From the event page:
Please come join us as we celebrate the incredible and magical firefly season with Entomologists (insect experts!) Enjoy our beautiful wrap around porch settled on a hill in the prairie as we watch the fireflies by the firepit, relax with friends, and learn about why fireflies do what they do!
Tickets are $25, and kids 12 and under are just $10.
Bluestem Hall is located at 1401 East Old Church Road in Urbana.
