Here is where your 12-15 year old can get vaccinated this week

On Monday, the FDA announced that it would grant emergency use authorization (EUA) of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for adolescents age 12 to 15. A vaccine advisory committee at the CDC is meeting Wednesday to give recommendations on the use of the vaccine for this age group. 

C-U Public Health District shared several opportunities for anyone 12+ to receive their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine later this week:

Carle Dress Barn Location: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Anyone 12 and older. Walk-ins welcome.

Walgreens: Starting Thursday morning, anyone 12 and older can make same day appointment or walk in at any of the locations.

CUPHD: Friday walk in clinic, Saturday 10-1p

OSF: Rantoul school district. Will include all schools in Rantoul. Not sure on final date for next week.

Christie : Mahomet schools this Friday, Holy Cross next week.

Other school-based clinics are being are planned for the next 2 weeks.
