I haven’t had a vegetable garden in about five years, but with the way things are right now, I’m contemplating getting back in the game. I don’t have the gardening prowess and forethought to start things from seeds, so getting my hands on plants is going to be the way to go.
First Federal can at least help get me (or you) started with a couple of free tomato plants. They are hosting their annual giveaway on May 4th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at both of their locations, 1311 S Neil in Champaign and 301 W Springfield in Urbana.
All you have to do is pull up, and they will put the plants in your vehicle. Each person can take two plants (while supplies last), and they are the Super Fantastic variety.
