During football and basketball seasons, Coach Lovie Smith and Coach Brad Underwood join Fighting Illini announcer Brian Barnhart every Monday night from 7 to 8 p.m. for a Q&A about their respective teams. This year the location will be moving from Buffalo Wild Wings in Savoy to Papa Del’s. From FightingIllini.com:
Fighting Illini fans are invited to attend the live show each week at the venerable Champaign location for the opportunity to meet and ask questions of head football coach Lovie Smith during the football season and head basketball coach Brad Underwood during the basketball season.
The show is broadcast state wide on the Fighting Illini Sports Network and is hosted by Fighting Illini play-by-play voice Brian Barnhart and also includes players and coaches from each team throughout the year.
Papa Del’s and the Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics will announce specials and promotions at a later date.
The first show, with Lovie Smith, will happen August 26th. You can see the full schedule for football season here. Dates for the Brad Underwood shows will be announced later.
