In an effort to make fresh, local food more accessible to all, The Land Connection has three different ways to maximize SNAP benefits at the Champaign Farmers Market, which is a pretty great thing.
1. Every week, Link card holders can swipe their card for tokens that can be spent at the Champaign Farmers Market, and The Land Connection will double their purchase up to $20 in vouchers for fresh fruits and vegetables.
2. On the second Tuesday of every month, they offer Triple Link Tuesday (that’s this Tuesday: July 10). That means they’ll match up to $20….and then they’ll match again. SNAP recipients can get up to $40 extra to spend of fresh produce!
3. On the last Tuesday of the month, they’re offering a new End-of-Month Bonus. Swipe your Link card for any amount, and not only will they double the amount, they’ll add an extra $10 to spend on fruits and veggies.
All tokens and vouchers are good all season long at the Tuesday afternoon Champaign Farmers Market.
The Champaign Farmers Market takes place every Tuesday throughout the summer through the first week of November from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the corner of Neil and Main.
