The East, Parquet & Fireplace Rooms of RTUC at Millikin University EQALL of Millikin, PRIDE of Richland Community College, GLAD of Decatur, and The Civil Rights Agenda, are pleased to co-host a community discussion on why marriage equality for same sex partners is a current civil rights issue in Illinois and its impact on families.
Presenters include:
- Anthony Martinez – Executive Director, The Civil Rights Agenda of Illinois
- Lee Korty & Bert Morton – One of the twenty-five plaintiff couples in the Lambda Legal Defense, ACLU, Education Fund lawsuit Darby v. Orr / Lazaro v. Orr for marriage equality
- Linda Schroeder – Issued the first Civil Union license in the state of Illinois (6/1/11)
