I’m excited about Street Food & Sake at Japan House

Japan House will close for summer break during July and August, and they are ending the season with a fun food and drink pairing event. They’re bringing Japanese festival vibes to their little campus oasis with Street Food & Sake. Check out this event description:

Guests will be greeted with a refreshing sake cocktail and a passport that will guide you through four food stations provided by Michael’s Catering and Japan House Staff.

Featuring street food favorites like Yakitori (Grilled Chicken Skewer), Takoyaki (Octopus Beignet with Sweet Teriyaki), and Hashimaki (Okonomiyaki on a stick), as well as an Omusubi station (Rice Triangles) with a variety of toppings, paired with unique sake at each station.

Once your passport is stamped at all of the stations, you will receive a wagashi to-go (Japanese Sweet) and special coupon for this year’s Matsuri Festival held on Sunday September 8th.

Tickets are $40 for students and Tomonokai members, and $45 for the general public. They are also limited, so make your decision soon.
