Champaign, Urbana, and Champaign County Announce 2022 Trick-or-Treating Hours
Halloween trick-or-treating hours in the City of Champaign, City of Urbana, and Champaign County will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 31, 2022.
The Champaign County Board has approved specific rules/guidelines/hours, which both Champaign and Urbana have historically agreed to. Those guidelines state that Halloween trick-or-treating will be held on October 31, regardless of the day of the week. The guidelines also state if October 31 falls on a weekday, then trick-or-treat hours will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm (as they are this year), and when October 31 falls on a weekend trick-or-treat hours will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A gentle reminder that there are many kids who live in neighborhoods where people don’t give out candy, or there aren’t any sidewalks, or it’s not particularly safe to walk around for a number of reasons. Just give them candy, even the kids who come back to your house a couple of times. Don’t be a jerk.
