Early voting has begun in Champaign County

The midterm election is coming up November 8th, but as of today you can vote early in person at the Brookens Administrative Center gym from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. After October 28th, those hours will increase.

On October 24th, 10 more locations will be added, and on October 31st, yet another 10. All early voting locations are universal polling places, meaning you can vote there no matter where you reside within Champaign County. See the full list at the Champaign County Clerk’s office, as well as the other ways that you can cast your ballot.

Early voting is my favorite. While I fully appreciate and support vote by mail (I’m all for all the ways to vote), I do kind of like going in, signing the little book, going in between the partitions to fill in the bubbles, then sliding that thing in the tabulator and taking my sticker, to be worn for the selfie outside of the polling place. And I just like having so many dates to choose from. We are fortunate to live in a state, and in a county, with so many choices.
