From 5 to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, Everyday Kitchen offers happy hour specials on appetizers and drinks. I went last week to give the menu a try, and of the shareable plates, the wings were far and away my favorite, and a steal at $5 for six wings. They were perfectly coated with a sweet and spicy sauce, then finished off on the grill. They weren’t saucy or sticky or cloying — the char from the grill top added a little extra yum factor. Did I order another plate of them after polishing off the first? Why yes I did.
There are some drink specials, too. House liquor is $2, but note that you will be charged for mixers. With the happy hour special, my gin and tonic was $2 for the gin and another $1 for the tonic; $3 is a pretty good deal for a cocktail.
