The Numbers Story Project is seeking submissions

Smile Politely Arts Editor, Debra Domal, has a creative endeavor called The Numbers Story Project. The Numbers Story Project was born from her book, Confessions by Number, and seeks to “[flip] the script on late COVID ‘number numbness’.” 

You can participate in this project by submitting your own COVID number story by March 19th. Here are some details from the project website:

  • check out our COVID number story examples and tips 

  • use our web form to upload image or document files (or just use our built-in text editor)

  • email us at [email protected]

  • send a digital voice message

  • or drop off your paper copy at Art Coop in Lincoln Square Mall (Note: if you chose to drop off a physical submission, please include the following information on an attached page: name, contact information, whether or not you want to remain anonymous, how you would like your name, pronouns, city to appear, whether or not you want to pick up your original copy after the book project has been completed)

  • Share our web form with your friends. The more the entries, the better the e-book.

  • Follow us on Facebook and Instagram and share widely to help us spread the word.

  • Visit The Number Story Project window installation at Art Coop, which will be unveiled on Saturday, February 12th.
