If you have paint thinner, used motor oil, insecticides, household batteries, or anything else on the approved list of hazardous waste items, it’s time to round them up and get rid of them in a safe way.

Anyone who is an Illinois resident can participate in the collection, which will be happening in the State Farm Center parking lot on April 15th. The event is sponsored by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, and hosted by Champaign County, City of Champaign, City of Urbana, and Village of Savoy.

You must pre-register for a time slot, and be sure to double check the list of approved and non-approved items before you load them up in the car. Questions? Contact [email protected] or call 217-403-4780.
