The Odyssey Project, a Humanities Research Institute program, offers an opportunity for low-income adult learners in C-U to take college courses for credit at no cost. They are now accepting applications for their Fall 2023 cohort.

Classes take place in the evenings, and will focus on the humanities: Literature, Philosophy, Art History, and U.S. History. Students can earn up to eight transferable credits, and the courses are taught by University of Illinois instructors. The program has been developed in such a way that it is accessible for non-traditional students, with accommodations like free course materials, additional tutoring, bus fare, and an included dinner.

The application for the fall is due by July 31st. Find more information about the program, including eligibility requirements, at the HRI website.
