U of I astronomer led study that found water in a galaxy far, far away

Sreevani Jarugula, a graduate student in the Department of Astronomy at the University of Illinois, is the principal researcher on a project that has found water in a galaxy 13 million light years away. The research is published in The Astrophysical Journal

You can read an article in Newsweek that sums up the findings (Water! Not on Earth!), and explains some of the fancy telescopes and computers and equipment used to capture these data.
