Cloud Mountain Kombucha is a kombucha brewery opening soon in Lincoln Square Mall. What’s kombucha, you ask? It’s fermented tea (usually green or black). It’s effervescent, so there’s some bubbly action, and it’s often flavored. It’s not exactly for everyone, as it is acidic and can be a little vinegary.
It’s also pretty expensive, with 16oz. bottles selling for $3 and up at grocery stores. As a kombucha drinker, I’d much rather give my money to a locally owned kombucha brewer using locally sourced produce.
