The Urbana Business Association will permanently close on April 30th

The Urbana Business Association, a member-driven non profit focused on supporting local businesses, will permanently close on April 30th. UBA cites the COVID-19 pandemic as a reason for its closure. This means that all UBA programs will be discontinued. (Market at the Square, the outdoor market, is run by the City of Urbana and is not affected.)

Per an email from The Land Connection, TLC will take over Market in the Square for the forseeable future (they also ran it this past season). There is no word yet on the fate of Urbana’s Sweetcorn Festival.
