The 20th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Countywide Celebration will happen virtually on January 17th. The MLK Countywide Committee and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Advocacy for Justice Committee have selected four community members to be honored at the event:
- Karen Simms– Recipient of the Doris Hoskins Prestigious Community Service Award
- Ricardo Diaz– Recipient of the James R. Burgess, Jr. – Susan Freiburg Humanitarian Award
- Rev. Willie Comer– Recipient of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Outstanding Achievement Award
- Jennifer Roscoe (WCIA-TV) will receive an Honorary MLK Countywide Committee Member Award, in recognition of her years of service as the mistress of ceremonies for this prestigious, annual event
