The Red Herring is celebrating 50 years

The Red Herring vegetarian restaurant, part of the Channing Murray Foundation and storied enclave of music and political activism, is preparing to celebrate it’s 50th(!) anniversary with a weeklong slate of activities. Details are still unfolding, but here’s a preview of the currently scheduled events:

Red Herring Golden (50th) Birthday Party
Saturday, February 17th, 4:30pm-10:30pm

An evening of live music, local food, storytellers from over The Red Herring years, exhibit of memorabilia from over the years (LP’s, poetry books, posters, etc.), raffle, and musical performances by Paul Kotheimer, The Merry Travelers, Dewclaw, and other local folk and jazz groups. Storytellers include founding participants Bill Taylor, Vern Fein, and more.
*$10 suggested donation at the door“more if you can, less if you can’t”

February 16th-22nd, 2018

A tribute to the original Red Herring, hosted by CU poet, James Escher

February 21st Red Herring Fusion Dinner (5pm-8pm) $9 Indian Cuisine

February 22nd Meditation, Yoga, and Wellness Gathering (4:30pm-9pm) Free

Guided meditation, candlelight yoga in the chapel, nutrition coaching, and more.
