Get your Team Champaign or Team Urbana t-shirt from Chambana Proud

Chambana Proud, the collaborative endeavor started by Visit Champaign County, You’re Welcome CU, and the Champaign County Economic Development Corporation, is trying to answer the all important and age-old question: Is it Champaign-Urbana or Urbana-Champaign?

They’ve commissioned artist Ralph Roether to design two t-shirts, one that says Team Champaign-Urbana and one that says Team Urbana-Champaign. The sales from the shirts will determine whether Mayor Feinen or Mayor Marlin will lay claim to a trophy and bragging rights.

A woman with blonde hair and glasses and a woman with brown hair and glass are standing on either side of a street sign pointing up at it. There are two signs crossed, one that says Wright St and one that says Armory Ave. Photo from Visit Champaign County.Photo from Visit Champaign County.

A portion of the t-shirt sales will donated to the Champaign County History Museum. You can read a bit of history on the C-U/U-C debate on their website. The shirts are $20, and can be purchased online, or at the Visit Champaign County Welcome Center at 17 E Taylor St during office hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
