Easter is right around the corner on Sunday, April 9th. If you like to celebrate holidays with food and drink, then Champaign-Urbana has you covered. Although Silvercreek’s special Easter brunch buffet is already fully booked, there are other excellent options if you still want to go out for Easter in C-U.

From brunch buffets to rabbit pot pie to lamb cakes, here’s a list of tasty Easter vittles.

Easter Day Brunch + Dinner

Baxter’s American Grille has a special brunch buffet for Easter. The menu includes a prime rib carving station, waffles, omelets, eggs Benedict, smoked salmon, a dessert bar, and more. Make your reservation online.

Homegrown in Urbana has a great brunch. This Easter Sunday, the restaurant will have a special brunch with a hollandaise frittata and yummy pancakes with a strawberry topping plus some of the regular brunch menu. For dinner, Homegrown will offer a full ham dinner complete with mashed potatoes and gravy. Reservations are strongly recommended.

The German-inspired restaurant Horsch Radish will have both Easter brunch and dinner options. All day mimosas and blood Marys will pair well with the Gibson City restaurant’s crepes, omelets, and breakfast pizza. For dinner on April 9th, try the Easter special: rabbit pot pie. Reserve your table online.

Neil Street Blues will have an amazing brunch buffet on Easter Sunday in Downtown Champaign. The $30 brunch includes all-you-can-eat honey glazed ham, mac n’ cheese, fried chicken, cornbread dressing, fried fish, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cheese grits, and more. Call to make a reservation.

Easter Coffee + Sweets

Make your coffee festive with Columbia Street Roastery’s seasonal blends like marshmallow chick, Cadbunny egg, and Swiss chocolate bunny with notes of creamy vanilla, raspberries, and Ghirardelli chocolate.

The Cake Artist’s Studio in Champaign has carrot cake, spring cake pops, peep cupcakes, and a very cute lamb cake for Easter in C-U. Read Matt’s review of the bakery (and this strawberry lamb cake) here.

Lucky Moon Pies in Mahomet offers a sugar cookie kit box with 18 spring themed cookies, a large piping bag of icing, and pastel sprinkles. Order yours by calling 217-402-2319.

Gluten-free eaters can enjoy a lamb cake by RegCakes Bakery in the Lincoln Square Mall. The Urbana bakery’s Easter lamb cake comes in coconut, lemon, or vanilla flavors. Orders must be in to the bakery by Tuesday, April 4th.

Tasty Tart has Easter tart boxes available for pre-order with a variety of tarts including cranberry cheesecake. While you’re there, try the strawberry cloud drink which is delicious.
