Illini hockey faces off against one of the best teams in the country (25-4 record). The Illini will need two wins this weekend, as well as a little help from other teams if they have any hopes to take the 3rd spot in the CSCHL standings before the league tournament. (PS)

The party doesn’t end after Class it UP 2 has concluded. Emerald City is hosting a fundraiser for the UP Center of Champaing County. All Sales of the “Ruby Cocktail” will be donated at 100% directly to the UP Center.

Withershins will be playing songs off of their forthcoming Silver Cities.
Chicago’s Sequoia has recently recorded Couple Two Tree at Great Western Record Recorders in 2011.
I’m not familiar with this new (to me) genre called “slop-rock,” but from what I’ve heard, Hot Cops has mastered it and it’s supposedly best enjoyed live.

University of Illinois Armory Track & Field Facility
E-Fest is an an indoor electric-flying festival where participating pilots stretch their skills to the limit … and spectators shake off the winter doldrums by watching edge-of-your-seat indoor aerobatics.
Both days of E-Fest allow several hours for open flying. Other times are reserved for slow & micro flyers, jets, helis, 3-D, combat, and sponsored demos. Saturday’s fun concludes with “Black-Out Night Flying,” when the Armory fills with music and flying LEDs.

Inspired by the upcoming Valentine’s Day, Leiloni Stars and Aurora Lamont-Carrington are planning a fantastic show, with special guests: Springfield’s Mimi Vincent and Iowa City’s Anja Mann.

The Dirty Feathers, White Mystery, Midstress and Folded Bones LIVE!, 8:00 p.m.–2:30 a.m.
Folded Bones are a stripped down three piece that dishes their fair share of howlin’ blues music. They hopped on this bill a few weeks prior to the show, but act as an excellent compliment to the other bands.
Midstress is the local punk staple. By ways of their sophomore effort, Growing Up is Getting Old, their rath will destroy you – in a good way of course.
White Mystery is a filthy garage rock brother-sister red-headed duo from Chicago. There’s no mystery in understanding why this is not a set you’ll want to miss. Here’s an interview with them from 2010.
The Dirty Feathers are the perfect local counterpart to the red-heads and their infused psych rock will make this one a very loud bill to be at. (PS)
