The Tanguero summer workshop is taking this place this week. The workshop brings together students and renowned Argentine Tango professionals from around the world for “an immersive education experience.” In conjunction with the workshop, there are a ton of public events also happening, and you don’t need to be a workshop participant to attend.
Some highlights of the events taking place include a showing of the documentary Tango’s Revenge at the Independent Media Center today at 8 p.m.; a faculty and guest showcase at Rose Bowl Tavern on July 25th at 8 p.m.; and Tango at the Market from 9 to 11 a.m. on July 29th at Urbana’s Market on the Square.
